Mr. Howard K. Snow is a native of Salisbury, Maryland and a 1974 graduate of James M. Bennett Senior High School.
He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Salisbury (State) University in 1978.
Mr. Snow has taught band for 34 years- 2 years in Somerset County and 32 years in Wicomico County schools (19 years at Mardela Middle and High School. He transferred to Salisbury Middle School when it opened 13 years ago). Bands under Mr. Snow's direction have consistently received "excellent" and "superior" ratings at festivals and competitions. He has been a regular performer and the musical director of a variety of local Broadway Musical productions.
He has been a member of the Salisbury Community Band since 1970. He performed as a member of the trombone section, a guest soloist and as a guest conductor until 2008. He returned last year when asked to conduct the commissioned piece "Smitty's Aweigh", a composition that was specially written as a tribute to Dr. Smith's final year as the Music Director of the Salisbury Community Band. Mr. Snow accepted the position of Assistant Music Director in 2012
